The last twelve months have been extremely busy one for us. After a busy Summer training young dogs, the grouse season came round quickly and then merged into another busy trialling season.
Whaupley Ygritte (Tilly) after doing numerous days picking up ran in several trials and gained two Seconds and two Thirds in Novices bringing her total to four Seconds and four Thirds and numerous other awards. The win continues to elude her but she is a great dog to pick up with and run. One of the highlights of the season was a week in Scotland both trialling and judging in great surroundings and good company.
Meadowsedge Ptarmigan (Tarn) also did a lot of days picking up as well as gaining five more Open awards including a Second in the Cocker Club Open.
During the Summer Andrew spent a lot of time training a young blue roan dog Ardchonnel Faodalach (Jay). He was not ready for grouse but did a lot of days picking up on pheasants approaching Christmas. In January he ran two very good trials gaining a Certificate of Merit and a Second place. We are looking forward to next season with him. He has sired a litter of pups that we bred at Christmas and they look very nice and will no doubt keep us occupied over the Summer.
