Specialising in Cocker Spaniels and based high in the Yorkshire Dales, WHAUPLEY GUNDOGS is owned and run by Andrew and Fiona Robinson. Andrew is on the A panel of Kennel Club judges and as well as making up Field Trial Champion cockers in the UK, Andrew has judged and run training seminars in Sweden and Finland. In November 2007, Andrew judged the Swedish Spaniel Championships for English Springers and Cockers and in January 2008 judged the British Cocker Championships at Sandringham. He also writes training articles for the US magazine "Spaniels in the Field". Fiona spends a lot of time rearing pups, training young dogs and has had considerable success in novice and open cocker trials. Whaupley Cockers have been exported to the United States, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, France and New Zealand. In 2006, Whaupley Cappuccino was the first ever dog to win the Swedish Puppy Derby and Swedish Cocker Championship in the same year. In 2009 Whaupley Tramp, a dog we breed and exproted won the Swedish Championship. We have Cockers at stud and occasionally have dogs for sale and vacancies for training. Having nearly twenty years experience in working Cockers we know the importance of matching the right puppy or older dog to the owner's requirements, always keeping the welfare of the dog uppermost in our minds.
